While technical virtuosity is required to produce great clinical results, it is often NOT sufficient. Excellent cosmetic dentistry demands a highly sophisticated aesthetic sense. Dr. Hartley proved that he not only has technical skills, but also that artistic eye to give me a gorgeous smile.

I selected Dr. Hartley after visiting several top cosmetic dentists in the San Francisco area. Several things made Dr. Hartley stand out. He has extensive experience (cosmetic dentist for 20+ years, thousands of patients, many before/after photos). His initial consultation was very thorough and really addressed all my questions. Finally, he is the only dentist that designs your new smile on your actual teeth -- instead of outside your mouth on a model of your teeth. This gives you a very realistic way of previewing and approving your new look.

Placing the veneers took two visits. Both were completely painless and actually quite enjoyable. There are many things for your comfort: TVs, headphones, warm pillows, a massaging chair, etc. Dr. Hartley's chair side manner is excellent, very friendly and soothing. I had no discomfort or problems after the procedure.

I drove all the way from Sacramento to see Dr. Hartley because he did a wonderful job on my sister's teeth as well. Also, I have extreme anxiety whenever I go to the dentist, but not with Dr. Hartley. He provides a completely pain-free and anxiety free experience. Dr. Hartley is the best in the business and worth every penny.

His whole staff is friendly and professional. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are wonderful people.

I had a fairly intense experience: veneers for 8 teeth on top, 6 teeth on bottom. Although this is a fairly arduous procedure, Dr. Hartley and his assistant, Angie, did fabulous work. They attended instantly to any pain or anxiety issues, always striving to make the experience smooth, fast and even soothing. Dr. Hartley has recently moved to a fantastic state-of-the-art facility with all the latest advances in dentistry at his fingertips.

But here's what ultimately counted--the outcome. I simply look at the befores of my poor, stained, twisty teeth, and the afters of my cool bright smile, and break into a grin. Yep, my youthful confidence is restored. I look in the mirror and see my own, personal smile, only backdated to when it was cute. Friends look at me and say, "Gee, you got a nice tan this summer." No. What I got was my old teeth but with the ravages of time removed.

I've moved to Dublin 2 years ago and went to 3 other dentists on the Eastbay. They were so horrible that I have to come back to him.

I had 19 teeth fitted with porcelain veneers to address discoloration, worn teeth and in general to address a smile that really made me embarrassed to open my mouth at all.

I had felt for many years (I am 40+) very intimidated by the appearance of my smile/teeth. Frankly, on the other hand, I was also embarrassed by the concept of going through a purely "cosmetic" operation - it seemed very shallow to be worrying about this when people are dying of thirst.

I finally took the plunge after doing a lot of reading and after having met Bruce in his offices. He is extremely professional and capable. I received excellent service throughout, with patient, clear explanations and an appreciation of both the physical and mental aspects of the process. He will consult with you about the final product and you do not feel rushed through this.

You need to know that this is NOT a cheap step and you are talking about an upfront payment (this stunned me a little, given the amount). His costs are in line with others.

The staff make the patient instantly at home and comfortable.

I had 8 veneers and the entire process was painless. Everyone, including my exwife has commented on the exceptional cosmetic result.

I am as pleased with my smile as with the correction in bite which has greatly improved how my mouth feels.

The entire staff, from the front desk to the hygenist, to Dr. Hartley himiself, is extremely professional, accommodating and friendly. Everyone seem to truly enjoy their jobs and helping patients acheive their goals.

I had 8 upper and 8 lower porcelain veneers done by Dr Hartley. Now my teeth are perfectly straight and perfectly white!

Most recently, I had some issues with my front tooth, as well as my bite. Dr. Hartley magically (it seems) and painlessly bonded my front tooth and completely adjusted my bite.

Lets face it, the guy is pure genious. Part miracle worker, part role model... he makes you feel so comfortable; it's like your related to him!

His facility is very well done as well. It's as if you walk into a tranquil day spa. Unlike most Dr.'s offices, where the air is stale and your reading options are limited to last year's National Geographic or last month's Home and Garden, Dr. Hartley's waiting room has a welcoming ambiance with educational coffee table books, snacks, water bottles, etc.

His chair-side manners are the kindest around, and he is 100% dedicated to spreading God's love. After having extensive dental work since an early age in life, Dr. Hartley is the first dentist I've met that remains gentle, constantly, throughout all of his proceedures. His attentiveness to keeping the patient out of pain the entire visit is amazing and completely effective.

Dr. Hartley changed all of that, he sat down with me and listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions, he made me feel so at ease, that I booked my appointment before leaving his office. On V-Day (Veneer Day is what I call it) I was very nervous but Dr. Hartley and his staff made me feel at home, I got to watch a movie, listen to my own music of choice and after treatment I was offered a protein shake!. They even gave me moisteriser for me lips:).

I couldn't believe how beautiful my teeth looked and when I went home to my family, my son noticed right away! everyone did. It has changed my life. Often people say to me " Your teeth are so beautiful and so white! " being only 23 yrs old it was a big step, but the best one. Now I totally live by that saying " If you got it, flaunt it!!! ". Ultimately, I asked him for his opinion, and he suggested that I do work on 4 teeth, as opposed to 2. However, I never felt pressured; instead, I just felt that he was giving me his professional opinion. Ultimately I decided to to with his suggestion, bleaching my teeth and crowning/veneering the front upper four.

Dr. Hartley, has to be one of the best in his field. My teeth came out perfect. no stress, no problem. In fact while they worked on my teeth, I even got to watch a stellar movie, with a dvd headset from the future. It was so cool.

When Dr. Hartley realized that I needed to have the veneers placed quickly, he went out of his way to finish everything in time. He and one of the staff even came in on an off day to do the work!

During our consultation appt, he took the time to listen to my concerns and what I wanted. They took digital pictures and showed me using an imaging software what my teeth would look like after treatment.

I went to Dr. Hartley to have veneer work done on my teeth and the results were outstanding! My teeth look so natural that most people think I've just had them "bleached".
