What I most appreciate about Dr. Shimizu & staff...they speak directly to the child. Often adults disregard the child, and speak only to the parent(s). This was not the case in Dr. Shimizu's office. My daughters both felt valued and included in the decision making process, which added to the success of their treatment. Their professionalism, expertise, and welcoming environment made the experience very pleasurable.

Patient Review 2:
We met with Dr.Shimizu for braces for our son, who has special needs (in the ASD spectrum). Dr.Shimizu and his staff provided wonderful care and cheerful disposition while treating our son, Sid. We really appreciate his patience with him, given his special needs and sometime anxiety... He always took time to explain what he was doing and what is coming next; seemed to do what is right for the child. Our son, initially anxious was very comfortable going to Dr.Shimizu.Regarding fees, since we were very happy with the services, did not compare... I was told by our friends, we could have found cheaper services, but we were happy with his care, that we are have stuck on for post-brace services too.

Patient Review 3:
I have taken both of my boys to see Dr. Shimizu. They have been to two other Dr.s before, and they both recommended to start treatment before age of 10. Not the case with Dr. Shimizu, in fact he recommended that we should wait longer. I felt I can trust Dr. Shimizu, because what he said before all turned out to be true. We are actually looking forward to the starting of treatment with Dr. Shimizu.

Excellent dentist, excellent staff, and excellent results. The most unbelievable part of the whole organization is the functionality that exists internally - almost always a good vibe, and its sincere. I can't imagine a better combination of value items.

We have used Dr Sihmizu for braces for both adults and children and have had great service and amazing results with both. The staff is wonderful and they make the appointments enjoyable.They were great with billing us on a family plan.Dr Shimizu is engaging and friendly. The annual patient picnic is a great time and the incentive contests he has are a lot of fun.I love to before and after pictures and the bottle of sparkling cider when treatment is done.

On the wall of Dr. Shimizus's office you will notice the photos of his patients and they have the most natural looking smiles. This was very important to our family. So many children receive treatment from other Ortho's and are left with that overexpanded picket fence look. Dr. Shimizu has a knack for making a child's mouth fit their face. My daughter did not even have to have the second phase of braces as he did such a good job of planning the future growth of the permanent molars. We are ready to start braces for my second daughter and would not even think of going anywhere else. I have reccomended him to many and will continue to do so.

Dr. Shimizu did a great job on my teeth! His staff and front-desk are very nice and understanding. They were able to change my appts when it was inconvient for me to come in with no problems! He's a great guy too with a good sense of humor.

Our child is taking the orthodontic treatment / braces from Dr. Shimizu for few years now and we wanted someone who is not running their office like afactory. We are pleased with his skill and follow-thru. The office gets a bit crowded and the appointment schedule is quite unforgiving - had to miss school a few times. Not cheap and at least the costs are predictable. Overall reasonably happy

I was very pleased with the service at Dr.Shimizu office. He is a very good orthodontist. Dr.Shimizu demonstrates his concerns about a patient. He makes you very relax and not nervous. His staff is very welcoming, and they try to accomodate your requests, especially when it comes to rescheduling appointments due to your busy schedule. I would highly recommend Dr.Shimizu!

Dr. Shimizu is an excellent doctor and he has a wonderful staff of assistants. Even the front desk staff is very friendly and responsive. The treatment is outstanding and I had very good results (mine was a very difficult case to tackle and there were other Orthodontics who said I couldn't be treated). Orthodontics is expensive no matter where you go so I wouldn't hold it against this facility.Strongly recommended for both kids and adults.

My daughters both have bad bites, and his treament plan has been wonderful. One he has seen every 6 months for free! for 2 years to keep an eye on her growth, and the for the other we had the option of putting them on early, but then it would have been a waiting game, and my daughter was so happy to wait and only have to wear them a year.He has made it so easy and nice to have my kids treated; we really like him and his staff!
