As a patient for over 15 years, I would rate Dr. Low as an extremely competent , highly skilled Periodontist and would give an unqualified recommendation.

Having undergone periodontist gum procedures, cleanings and tooth implants, I have been nothing but totally satisfied.

He takes the time to explain the procedures and treats the patient as an important individual.

He is also supported by a knowledgeable, friendly and competent staff.

About Hygienist: The professionalism of this office extends to the hygienist staff who are very patient oriented and skilled.

His staff gave me detailed written instructions prior to the surgery, and the day of the procedure everyone was prepared, on time, courteous, and the whole process was pain free and successful.

I had always heard that periodontal work was extremely painful and to be avoided if not absolutely necessary. Dr. Low's office changed my perception completely. The entire staff exudes confidence and concern for patient welfare. Dr.low himself, is pleasant and thoroughly explains to the patient his medical condition and the recommended treatment. I never felt rushed with the Dr. The hygienists are ALL extremely pleasant . Their office has successfully treated and continues to treat my periodontal needs. I have no anxiety when going for a visit.

I had couple of procedures done by Dr. Low: gum surgery and inplants. In both cases I did not feel any pain during and after the procedure.

The moment I walked into the facility there were smiling and very cheerful faces to greet me. The lobby is very nice and neat. During the surgery I had very relaxed music to keep me calm although I did not feel any pain. There's always a follow-up call from Dr. Low after I returned home to ensure I was OK. The best part of it is that Dr. Low provides not just painless procedure but also tutorial how to keep up.

The best part of the procedure is inplants. I had 3 inplants and I will recommend it to whoever considering bridge or inplant. Dr. Low is a very experienced in this area.

I will strongly recommend Dr. Low as your periodontist.

About Hygienist: The hygienists in Dr. Low's facility is quite polite and gentle. I had couple of them and I am pretty happy with the procedure they performed.

I went to Dr. Low with gum issues about 10 years ago. After he carefully evaluated my situation, I had oral surgery. The first on one half of my mouth and the second on the other half. Both surgeries were a complete success. My gums have been healthy ever since. In the past couple of years, Dr. Low did two gum grafts to correct receding gums. Both those surgeries were successful as well. Dr. Low is very careful in administering the proper pain-managing medication. Getting through all of the procedures was very easy.

About Hygienist: I like all the hygienists who have cleaned my teeth over the years. They are very professional, thorough, and friendly.

I am very happy to recommend my periodontist, Dr. Howard Low of Sunnyvale. He is excellent!

As an insulin dependent diabetic, I need extra help keeping my gums in good health. Dr. Low has many options of procedures and treatments to help tighten the gums around the teeth to extend how long you can keep your own teeth before you might need dental implants.

Dr. Low is very knowledgeable and explains the procedures in detail and answers any questions. He takes the extra time to make sure his patients are comfortable during and after the procedure and calls to follow-up to be sure there are no problems after any surgery. His staff is also outstanding, very friendly, professional, and skilled in periodontal cleanings and assisting Dr. Low.

Root planing, all 4 quadrants. The treatment was a complete success, and my dental health is now better than it has ever been. I have continued to see Dr Low and his staff, alternating between his office and our regular dentist. This has been by choice, not due to a recurrence of perio problems...

Thanks to Dr. Low and his hygienists, I still have all my teeth. With excellent care, cleanings, treatments and office facilities, my experiences here are absolutely wonderful. Dr. Low is extremely professional and kind. Lyn, his Office Manager, and I carry on like friends that have know each other for a lifetime. My hygienist Rochelle, I am not sure where to start. They don't come any better, thorough and more honest about what is going on with my treatments.

During my tenure with Dr. Low's office, I have never had an issue with anything. Billing is accurate and punctual, facilities emmaculate, great staff support and it just keeps getting better. Please keep in mind that Dr. Low is not my first Peridontist. From Michigan to Florida and others in California, he is my first and last choice.

Dr. Low explained everything thoroughly and exactly what he will do on the day of the surgery. He answered every question I had. I was very nervous on the day of the surgery, but everything turned out great - no pain! The healing time was very fast (about 2 weeks). The results are fantastic! My gum is looking pink and normal, and more importantly, the gum recession is gone. Dr. Low's assistant was very polite and friendly. The rest of Dr. Low's staff were very friendly and upbeat.

Dr Low has been my periodontist for many years. I had gum issues when I first started. I had oral surgery to correct some of the problem areas. 18 years later, my gums are healthy and controlled. With six month visits along with 4 minutes of Sonicare brushing (2x a day), my dental hygiene has been a healthy routine for me. Dr Low is professional and friendly.

About Hygienist: My Hygienist is Glowe is absolutely fabulous. She is extremely gentle with my gums. She is does an excellent job cleaning, provides insight into areas that need more attention, professional and friendly. I also schedule my appointments around her.

Office process has always been excellent; staff has been there a long time - i.e. consistent. very sensitive to potential pain - which is rare, as they know what to do, and offer either an MP3 player or earphones to your own MP3 player. It's NOT like a health spa - nor should it be IMHO; it's a good professional, clean, friendly office environment

Dr. Low was excellent. I had a gum graft done and was nervous about the procedure, but he explained everything that I needed to know. The staff was also very helpful. I needed to book my surgical appointment in less than a week and they made it happen. Friendly and accomodating.

About Hygienist: The hygienist was great as well. She was sensitive to my concerns about getting molds done and had my best interest in mind.

I started going to Doctor Low for Peridontal work about 2 years ago. He and his staff are extremely courteous, helpful and kind. I was put at ease from the first day. I'm still going to Dr. Low for cleanings and feel like I've come home everytime I walk in the door. The office is bright and cheerful and extremely well maintained. Dr. Low did a soft tissue graft on my gums, and the entire experience was extremely positive in all respects. You'll find the office staff to be very competent and professional, and most important, Dr. Low takes the time to carefully listen to the patient, and also provides very thorough explanations for his treatment plan prior to performing the proceedure, and explains what the patient will likely experience during the proceedure itself and the healing process afterwards.

There was no pain, and minimal discomfort for a couple of days afterwards.

I am normally very cautious about referrals of any sort, be it restaurants, hotels, vacation spots, etc., but would heartily encourage anyone who needs implants or periodontal care to seek out Dr. Low. You absolutely cannot do better than Dr. Low!!

Doctor is exceptionally knowledgeable and courteous. He is very mindful of patient comfort. He does an excellent job of considering patient's overall and specific health concerns as they relate to periodontics. He explains prospective procedures clearly. Dr. Low phoned me on Thanksgiving Day (2007) to see how I was doing following an implant. This was outstanding thoughtfulness and medical care.

several gingivitis surgeries and deep scalings over the years and on 90 day recall. Lack of total success is my mouth not his lack of intervention.

He and his office staff and the hygienists are just nice people. I have a very good insurance plan so cost is not a real factor for me.

The front desk staff in Dr. Low's office was rude and wasn't willing to cooperate with my cosmetic dentist to make a copy of the X-rays. She came up the excuse that my X-ray was taken one and half years ago and too old to be used but actually was about 7 months ago.

I got the Perio Scaling & Root planning done at Dr. Low's office in late 2005 but he assigned different hygienists to work on each quadrant of my teeth every time I visited. One of the hygienists scolded me for being late 5 minutes and she could not finish the task on time. She actually rushed to get me out of the door than the finish time was scheduled. All hygienists seemed to have full schedule and rush through the treatments.

I had the best care with Dr. Low and his facility. I tried to continue going to him when I moved to Sacramento, but it got to be to hard. I have yet to find a perio in the Sac area that measures up. I highly recommend him.

I have to disagree with the prior patient review. I had a good experience with Dr. Low, who presented several options for my gum treatment and explained the cost differences. In fact, he even recommended the least expensinve option and gave valid reasons. Also, his staff is very friendly and professional. His billing clerk was flexible and worked with my insurance company without a hitch. I would recommend Dr. Low's practice.

I didn't like my experience with Dr. Low for a number of reasons.

First, because I felt like he was constantly trying to sell me expensive "upgrades" that were not covered by insurance.

Second, because they rotate who works on you without first informing you. I had a really bad experience when I arrived to find that my appointment was with a different tech than I expected - and this other tech performed the same service with a great deal more pain than the first tech who I liked. I was quite peeved as you can imagine. I felt as though they had played "bait and switch" on me.

Third, because I just didn't trust Dr. Low. He seemed evasive when I asked what I thought were reasonable questions. He also recommended expensive upgrades without disclosing that they were a very large extra cost that was not covered by insurance. I expect my dentist to be straight with me and to act on my behalf. I didn't feel like either of these was the case.

In all fairness, I thought one of his techs (Rochelle) is truly superb (friendly, professional, skilled, no pain). Make sure you know who you are getting. Also, the receptionist was really friendly.
