I came to this area not long ago, was wondering where to find a good dentist as my teeth has a lot of tartar and it looks worse and worse. Thanks for all the previous review here, I have decided to give Dr. Ban a try.

Dr. Ban fully examed all my teeth. She found 9 cavities and have suggested that my teeth has to be deep cleaned. In order to help me pay less, She watched my insurance allowance to help me pick the most serious problem to fix first.

I am very pain sensitive, but I wanted to have white teeth again. I checked online, people say deep clean could cause pain, but Dr. Ban said it's going to be fine. I closed me eyes to not see those dental tools, and Dr. Ban kept calling my name at my ear to comfort me while she was cleaning me teeth. And she even filled 4 cavities after the cleaning just in minutes. As my teeth was cleaned in another country last time, Dr. Ban noticed that the surface of my teeth has been damaged. She said she could see small holes on my teeth, that's why the tartar was built so easily and hard to be brushed away. She paid extra attention to polish my teeth to try to smooth the surface, and she said she would even polish my teeth every time when I visit her office in the future to try to get rid of the holes.

It was really painless and fast. Even my husband felt hurt after the deep clean, but I whose condition was much worse than him felt nothing. Just like Dr. Ban have promised.

Who ever visited her office knows how busy she is, but I believe Dr. Ban really put her patients in heart. At the time of my second visit, she still remember what I have said about my teeth three months ago. It was so moving.

4 weeks from my last visit, Dr. Ban's stuff called yesterday to confirm my appointment of next Monday. She said Dr. Ban already set an hour to treat my teeth on that day. I found myself not scare of dental office this time. I will see if the experience is as good as last time.

I was in town and was tired of my wisdom tooth coming in wrong. Dr. Ban was able to fit me into her busy schedule. The entire wisdom tooth extraction took less than 15-minutes with the longest wait being waiting for the anesthetic to kick in. Dr. Ban was friendly and professional. She removed the tooth very quickly without causing additional pain.

Cost and billing were also painless. Everything was done directly with the insurance with no complications.

I was in town visiting relatives when I noticed that I had discoloration on my teeth. I was worried and saw Dr. Ban on a recommendation from a relative. Dr. Ban examined my teeth and gave me some recommendations and I went ahead with the procedure. Everything was fast and my teeth look great.

I like the fact that the office seems up to date on the latest technology including the instant X-rays and flat screen televisions to take your mind off the work being done.

My family and I were having a great vacation in CA until I cracked my permenant crown during lunch. I was upset because this permenant crown was in place for less than an year(crown done by another dentist) and I was far away from home! Understanding my plight and at a short notice, Dr. Ban scheduled me for the replacement crown. She also noticed a small cavity in which was filled in less than a minute! In less than a week, I received my permenant crown. Dr. Ban is very efficient and knowledgeable doctor. She is very attentive and her explainations are very thorough. I had a pain free and anxiety free experience. I highly recommend her for all dental actvities!

If you are fear of pain when your wisdom tooth need to be taken out, come to visit Dr. Ban. My wisdom tooth have been giving me problems last couple years, because I am scare of pain, I refused the recommendation from my other dentist to take those tooth out. After 4 times of filling up the cavities, I decided to have them extracted. In fact, it is quite painful to fix those cavities since they are getting deeper to the nerves each time they are filled.

I am glad that I get a chance to let Dr. Ban to treat my problem last week. It's painless. After about 25 minutes of anesthesia, it only took less than 5 minutes to extract out all my wisdom tooth!

I can eat almost everything the very next day!

So let Dr. Ban take care of your tooth, and you will have great experience. The pain to fix those tooth will become history.

Dr. Ban is amazing! She was my daughter's first dentist and she was 4 yrs. old. She let the staff and Dr. Ban take her in the room and clean her teeth and take x-rays. She was not scared and loved the whole experience. My daughter then watched me get a filling. Dr. Ban has pictures for proof. Dr. Ban is quick, not painful and the staff and surrounding make you feel comfortable and calm. She is the best from my years of searching for a GREAT Dentist.

I have been Dr. Kathleen's patient for a long time. She is very

patient and always answer my questions. She did all my dental treatment for me. Now I see Dr. Fox and Dr. Shadi for cleaning. They are very detailed and gentle with cleaning. Dr. Kathleen still sees me when I need fillings. I like her office. Her staffs are nice and feels like family. I always like to go to her office. It's very clean and I don't have to wait.

Dr. Ban is a very nice dentist, she always remembers you and does quality work. However, I think her practice is growing a lot and so after the first or second visit, you no longer see Dr. Ban, but have to get service from her other assistant doctors. :(

Dr. Ban is very professional and patient she explanes procedures in very tiny details. The only things are 1)she is getting too busy and do not have enought time to answer all questions and 2)her front desk person tend to overcharge you so calculations not accurate. If you want to make an apointment with Dr. Ban you have to clearly state it because they schedule it to any other available Dr. and do not tell until you come and see.

Dr Ban's work on my front tooth implant was outstanding. Her attention to detail and getting the opinion of other staff in her office was touching. She was determined to find a match and is currently assisting me in the other crowns nearby so the color tone will be even and not noticable to the critical eyes of others....I would recommend her and her staff as great !!!

About Hygienist: The room has flowers on the ceiling and a cable tv to watch.

The cleaning is high powered and pain free.

Your mouth will feel extra fresh afterwards and the staff have you rinse with a variety of fluoride afterwards.

Before I met Dr. Ban I had the biggest fear of dentists. Just the thought of seeing a dentist would cause such anxiety that I just learned to chew on whichever side of my mouth wasn't hurting. When it got to the point that I was in so much pain that I couldn't chew at all, a friend talked me into trying her dentist, Dr. Ban. Desperate, I did. I had so much tooth decay in my molars that I thought I was going to need dentures by the time I was 25. I was so stressed about the pain, (and the cost!) that I begged her just to pull them out. The first thing she told me was not to worry. She understood my frustrations, and pain, and she put me at ease. She saved almost ALL of my teeth. Her and her staff have become extensions of our family. They are all so kind, and gentle. They get to know their patients personally, they actually care about you. I don't feel afraid when going to the dentist, I feel like I am going to visit friends. It is that comfortable. They go out of their way to make sure that you are healthy and happy. They stay late for emergencies, they squeeze you in on busy days, whatever it takes. I could not ever thank Dr. Ban (or her staff ) enough for what they have done for me.

I choose Dr Kathleen Ban based on the review from this site since it is very close to my place. Turned out I had one of my best dental experiences. Doctors are very nice there, and the service is very prompt. My first visit, including new patient sign-up, taking x-rays, deep cleaning, and filings all take 1.5 hours. Both Dr. Ban and Fox worked on my teeth, and I like them both.

Dr Kathleen is an adorable person, she is elegant, knowledgable, and extremely nice. I think her personality really helps me feel relaxed at the dentist's office. Also, she explained a lot of stuff around teeth particular to my conditions, things that other doctors either took a long time to explain or never care to do so.

Overall, my experience is very positive, and I highly recommend this facility.

Also, cost is extremely reasonable, and in fact, probably the cheapest service I had to pay out of pocket for my dental visit in the past 8 years.

Dr. Ban veneered my top 6 front teeth. I did not have one moment of pain. I have had nothing but compliments on my "new teeth". I am very happy with my new smile! Dr. Ban's office runs like a well oiled machine. I have never sat longer than 5 minutes in her waiting room. She has a great chairside manner. Explains procedures in detail and gets your work done when she says it will be done. I was having severe right lower jaw pain. I had been seen by two previous dentists, both had done xrays and could not find anything wrong with my teeth. I had received a dangerous injection behind my ear to block nerve pain in my right lower jaw. I was desperate to say the least. Dr. Ban was recommended by a colleague. I called the office, they saw me on an emergency basis and worked me in. Dr. Ban was able to find hidden decay under my old fillings that the other two dentists had missed. After a root canal and crown I no longer have the severe jaw pain! Dr. Ban and her staff are working on other dental problems I have now and they are always courteous and as gentle as possible. They always discuss care plans with me before proceeding. Sure no one likes going to the dentist. But if you have to go I highly recommend Dr. Ban and her very caring and friendly staff!

Dr.Ban is our family doctor for recent two years. We have regular clean and check-up done in her office and are very happy with the results. We never feel any stress/pains, which usually will be here when you talk about any visit to a dentist office (even for a regular clean). My kids don't hesitate to go to Dr.Ban's office to have their regular clean and checkup. Most impresive is Dr.Ban's skill on tooth extraction. Actually, the first time for us to visit her office was to have my daughter's severerly damaged (cavity) tooth removed. The tooth had been removed before my daughter feel anything! This encouraged my wife to have her wisdom teeth extracted, which also turned out to be very fast and painless!

I love Dr. Ban!! I have been seeing her for a couple of months now. I was referred to her from a co worker. She was really friendly and took her time explaining all the treatment I needed. She has very up to date technology, and the office was very clean and organized. On my first visit, I was a little surprised that another Dr. was going to do my cleaning. I learned my lesson and for all my following appointments, I made sure that I would see Dr. Ban. Rachael (the assistant) was really nice helping me figure out how to use the Direct TV and was great company while I was waiting for the doctor. Kelly(another assistant) was also great while taking xrays. I have a very sensitive gag reflex. The same can't be said for the receptionist Susan. She wasn't very welcoming and didn't explain my insurance benefits to me very well. All she did was hand me a paper with all these red marks on the teeth. I felt pressured to make an appointment as soon as possible. Overall I have enjoyed the few visits I have had and will refer everyone I know to see Dr. Ban.

Dr. Ban is an excellent dentist. I was out west visiting my family when I mentioned to my sister I had a tooth pain. She highly suggested that I see Dr. Ban who saw me on short notice. She immediately performed work, doing some fillings, replacing an old filling and rush-ordered a crown for my fractured tooth which was causing my pain. She explained everything she did and was gentle, caring and precise. I really appreciated that she got the work done fast since I had to head home to New York. I was having trouble finding a good dentist reccomendation, it seems like many people wouldn't reccomend theirs or were also looking for one. I turned to the web to find one in my area and I was very pleased. The cleaning was relatively painless and I got a couple of fillings taken care of all in one visit. The staff was courteous and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Ban or Dr. Fox (another dentist at her office).

Today was my first visit to Dr. Ban's office. Having had so many frightening and bad experiences at my past dentists' offices (mostly in Japan...), I had hated going to the dentists for any kind of procedure. But those were the old days - I think I finally found THE ONE!

I have never seen such a well managed office. Everyone I talked to was a great worker. They provide not only their technical expertise but also emotional and mental support and encouragement for you. I have hyper sensitive gag reflex along with TMJ (difficult patient!), but I never once gagged today. They seem to know how to make you feel comfortable and in charge.

Dr. Ban and her staff explained the details of my treatment plan and financial estimate, which none of my past dentists have done. They talk to you as if we are a team working towards the same goal. You can tell they are proud of their work and care about their patients by the way they treat you.

I will be seeing them quite often because of the condition of my teeth, but this is the first time in my life I am actually excited about getting my dental work done. It's because I know with their help the results will be great. If you are a "wuss" like me, go see Dr. Ban and it'll change your life!

what more can i say? Dr. Ban is INCREDIBLY AWSOME!!!!! painless flawless root-canal in 45mins! no contest! apart from her near perfection dental work, Dr. Ban is nice and kind, she actually cares about you and your pocket! nurses are nice and knowledgable; office is clean and equipments are up-to-date. the only flaw i have from my visits is her receptionist Ms S who unfortunately also runs the invoice. Ms. S cant even enter data into the computer correctly, and she overcharged me for couple hundreds. when i question the bill, she became the most unfriendly person in the world. The minute she confirmed that indeed was her mistake, her attitude changed even further and the only word to discribe Ms. S is "RUDE". I dont understand why Dr. Ban keeps such a useless person in her office. Perhaps Dr. Ban is too kind to ask her to leave. anyway, i'll make sure i check my invoice line-by-line before leaving the office. Afterall, it's Dr. Ban's expertise that matters!

We all know, trip to a dentist can be nerve racking. And I am SO GLAD I found Dr. Kathleen. I came to her with a condition called ANUG and still am in treatment. I can see improvements, slowly and steadily. She and her staff completely made me feel at ease. Kathleen is very attentive, caring (never seen a doctor calling on a patient on thier own to check up on them, well she did) and very professional. Her staff is superb and facility is very comfortable. They make me feel at ease and I don't mind my trips to the dentist anymore. I have not compared the prices, so can't comment on them. But service, professionalism, hygiene, care is excellent. Thank you for being my dentist, Kathleen. Hope my condition clears up soon. I know I am in good hands.Recommended.

Dr. Ban has done everything from my cosmetic work to removing my wisdom teeth and everytime I leave her office I can't believe how fabulous she is. I can't say enough about how lucky I feel to have found her! Wow. As good as the reviews are.. she's a pro. I went to another doctor before to remove one of my wisdoom tooth, but the experience was way too painful (took them 40 min because they couldn't get it out). When I was at Dr. Ban's, I thought she was only cleaning it for extraction, but literally ONE MINUTE later she went, "I'm done." She did 2 wisdom teeth within 1 minute. This is great because the chance of infection lowers significantly. Overall great doctor. I wish she'd be less busy so I can have more personal attention though when I wanted to consult her about other problems.

Dr Ban was very nice, gentle, and fast. She's the first dentist I've had who asked me a question and then took the dental tools out of my mouth so I could actually answer! Unfortunately, when she cleaned my teeth she found that I had 7 cavities. :( I'm an adult, but I'd never had a single cavitie before. I was really anxious! Dr. Ban took things very slowly and explained everything she would do. She was very considerate of my anxiety and checked often to make sure I was still doing ok. I even got to watch animal planet while they fixed me teeth. Getting fillings is not fun, but it was so much better than I thought it would be. :) The rest of the office staff at Park Saratoga dental were also nice, caring, and professional. I'm definitely happy with the whole team and glad I've chosen them as my dentist.

I have never been more pleased with a dentist. Dr. Ban and her crew make you feel so comfortable and are constantly making sure you feel comfortable in every way possible. From explaining the entire procedure they are going to perform to making sure your are comfortable in your chair (along with a remote to control the tv they allow you to watch to distract you). I am so glad to become one of the many happy customers who enjoy the excellent services from Dr. Ban and her staff at Park Saratoga Dental. I recently made my first visit to Dr. Ban's office and had a very pleasant experience. Dr. Ban is highly professional, very nice and caring. She explains everything in great details and in a language very easy to understand. I was impressed how good she is at making me relax so that I feel little pain during the procedures. She took care of all the insurance paperwork and I don't need to worry about a thing. Her staff are also quite efficient, skilled and courteous.

Although this is my very first visit, I am already confident to put my trust on Dr. Ban for all my future dental care needs. I am in good hands.

Dr. Ban was very gentle with my whole family. She explained each procedure, so we would know what to expect. I have dental anxiety and she was very patient with me, giving me time to calm down. I recommend Park Saratoga Dental and Dr. Kathleen Ban with the highest praise. I had put off visiting a dentist for years due to unpleasant experiences in the past. I would always dread going and usually leave in tears. Once I found Dr. Ban my idea of dentistry has forever changed. Her expertise and professional office staff are among the best I have seen. Dr. Ban is thorough, gentle, and meticulous. I am always comfortable in this office (even when I need to have lengthy work done.) She provides satellite TV, music, or DVD's for each patient when waiting or having work done. This really puts you at ease! I have been seeing Dr. Ban consistently for 3 years and would not consider a change. I have since moved almost 2 hours away from her office, but stay committed to coming as I feel there is no better professional I want tending to my oral care.

I broke a tooth last week, and was in desperate need of a dentist in the area. After doing several hours of research based on reviews on this site, I found Dr.Ban - the best that I found in my insurance plan. I've only been to her once, but was immediately impressed with her office and staff. First, her office was able to see me the day after I called for an appointment. The whole (almost painless) procedure took just over an hour. And, I even got a follow-up call from Dr.Ban later that evening to see if the temporary was ok, and to check on how I was doing! Her staff was extremely friendly, thorough, explaining all procedures and costs. Her office was exceptionally clean (and there was even a flat-panel TV to watch while I was waiting for the procedure to begin - good way to calm nerves!) Her office is also equipt with the lastest technology - like real-time computer images of xRays. I have already recommended Dr.Ban to multiple people looking for a good dentist.

Dr. Ban is the only dentist my daughter will go to! My daughter had a bad experience with another dentist. She was having a filling and could feel them working and was in pain. She asked for more medicine and they ignored her. After that experience she was affraid to go to any dentist. And this made me very upset, as it was never a problem before. I did not know Dr. Ban, I did not know any of her other patients, I just found her name on our insurance companies website. I decided to give her a call. I explained my daughters fear. And that the dentist that my daughter was affraid of was stating she needed another filling and that my 10 year old was crying, yelling and acting like something I never saw before. But I knew she had to go get the filling. Dr. Ban said to bring her in and that she would sit my daughter down and talk to her first. She assured my daughter that if she did anything that hurt she would stop! My daughter has never had a problem with Dr. Ban & actually looks forward to seeing her. This is a WIN-WIN situation for everyone, Dr. Ban, mom & daughter. My daughter tells me if we ever have to move Dr. Ban will have to move with us! I became a new patient of Dr. Ban in the spring of 2005 and am very pleased with the work she has done. I have had several visits to her office since that time as I had several amalgam fillings replaced with the white fillings.

She and her staff are very conscientious of the patients' needs to reduce stress and ensure timeliness. She has some of the newest technologies and is willing to answer questions you may have about dentistry. I know that she accepts most insurances and offers very affordable pricing, even if you do not have insurance. What ever price is quoted, she sticks to that price and starts working on your teeth only after you are presented with the full quotation.

Searching for the right professional can sometimes be a lifetime goal. Finding "the experienced mechanic", "the perceptive hairdresser" ," the trustworthy accountant".... and recently, Kathleen Ban has filled the slot for "the competent dentist". Dr. Ban is, by far, the best dentist in the bay area. I, like many people, have had a fear of dentists and have resisted going for many years. I finally had the courage to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ban after reading great reviews on Dr. Oogle. After my first consultation with Dr. Ban, all my fears went out the door. She is extremely friendly, professional, and puts you at ease. All my work was done with no pain at all. The only regret I have is not going to her years earlier!!! Dr. Ban called me later to make sure I was okay after I had my two procedures done...nice touch!!! Dr. Ban's staff is very profesional and friendly as well. Her office is clean, modern (digital x-ray machines) and has nice amenities (television for patients while work is being done).

I have been going to Dr. Ban for 4 year now. I was one of those people who had not seen a dentisit in 15+ years. Dr. Ban was so kind and sweet when I first met her. She explained in deatil the cost and what procedures it would take to make my teeth last for-ever and look great. She is very gentle and is always asking if you are okay during major procedures. Her office is state of the art and very clean. They are always on time and you do not have to wait for hours to be seen. Right now I am seeing Dr. Ban for Invisaline, to straighten by bottom teeth. I wanted veneers but with Dr. Bans advise and expertise she suggested a less expensive procedure that benefited my teeth in the long run too. I felt that she is always looking for the best solution and has my best interest in mind.

sons simply love her and are always looking forward to seeing her for their regular check-ups. She did not recommend any unnecessary procedures to us and always explained all the options to us in details. Her spotless and technically up-to-date office is a treat in itself. Once we

Dr. Ban is the best! She strives to make everyone feel like you are the most important patient she has. She genuinely listens to your concerns and is always knowledgable about what needs to be done. You can trust Dr. Ban to do the best job possible, and at the same time put you at ease. I have recommended her to many people, who have in turn recommended them to more people. She is the best dentist I have ever had. I have yet to hear anyone who has visited her say otherwise.

I have had much much work done on my mouth over the years; and she was the first professional who I wasn't immediately skeptical that she could fix my problems. And she did follow through on her promise to me; I have a beautiful smile. I have lived through 2 sets of braces, many surgeries, a bone graft, but have never found the care that I have received from Dr. Ban. The gaps that were left in my mouth from other dentists pulling teeth were replaced with beautiful veneers from Dr. Ban. I couldn't be happier with the result. I now have a Hollywood smile, and most importantly, I know the years of suffering with my teeth are finally over. I know that all future work will be handled professionaly and painlessly by a trustworthy dentist.

Customer care and satisfaction are top priority with Dr. Ban. From the personal phone calls after a procedure to the satellite TV with 100's of channels while waiting for her in the chair, it is all about high standard of care, high technology, and high touch.

My kids love the care and also the TV/movies to distract them. They don't want to leave!

I travel a bit to get to Dr. Ban but it is worth it because I never feel pain if injected and everything she does is well explained. I like that she knows and is using the latest in materials and composites. Her technique is experienced yet low key which is great for those who may be anxious about a procedure.

Staff always attentive and there are enough to make sure I am well cared for. Clean, modern and comfortable environment.

I am only concerned that once more people find out about how good she and her staff are, I will have to wait longer to get an appointment!!!

Dr Ban is the best dentist I have found in the South Bay and believe me I speak from experience. After several months of searching and rejecting other Dentist, Dr Ban took my uneven and diseased teeth and gums and made me a million dollar smile. Along with that, from the moment I stepped into her office she made me feel like a member of her family. The stress and anxiety I felt going in was completely eliminated. Dr. Ban is excellent! I came to her for a second opinion because my previous dentist told me I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth and needed a tooth extraction. After Dr. Ban examined my teeth, she told me that I had stains on my tooth, not a cavity. When I was skeptical, Dr. Ban thoroughly explained the health of my teeth from the digital pictures and X-rays that were taken by the hygenist. I could not refute the images that I saw on the flat screen. She is very honest and I left the office feeling relieved that I didn't have to undergo oral surgery to fix a problem that I didn't have!
