Dr. Johns and his staff are the most friendly, professional, and skilled folks I've encounted in a dental office. The office atmosphere is warm and comfortable. Fillings, crowns, and repaired veneers have all been painless and well-done. His chair-side manners are perfect--he's understanding, affable, professional and quick. His staff is professional and friendly. Dental hygentist is number 1. Front desk staff is sharp regarding insurance questions and scheduling problems should they come up. The office is well layed out, relaxing and happy.

The first thing I noticed upon entering Dr. Johns' office was how clean and up to date everything was. Having not been to a dentist in over 5 years may have handicapped my sense of what modern dentistry had evolved into, but I left that initial visit feeling very satisfied at how the staff treated me and took every opportunity to make sure I understood what was going on with my teeth.

Dr. Johns seems to know most of his patients by name and face. I ran into him in the Burlingame Apple store recently and had a total "uh oh" moment. He reminded me that my permanent crown was still there and that I had missed my last cleaning as well. If you go for great customer service and reliability then this guy should be your dentist.

Dr. Johns is personable, professional, and very good at making my trip to the dentist pleasant. I schedule cleanings three times a year because I'm so impressed with him and his staff and enjoy seeing them; I've always had anxiety about dentists' visits, but no longer! Even the administration of the anesthetic was nearly pain-free. Dr. Johns removed my old silver fillings and put in a new composite material in 6 places... now no one can tell that I have fillings! The entire procedure took only 1 hour and I was back to work immediately afterwards. In the past I've had Dentists that berated me while I was in their chair; Dr. Johns and his staff have been the complete opposite - I feel more like a family than a nameless patient. I recommend this Dentist to anyone that's new the area.

I have always had some sort of anxiety with dentistry in the past, and when my work moved me to Millbrae, I stumbled into Dr. Johns office on a whim, lucky me! Now over a year later, my dental anxiety is gone, and I actually look forward to visiting his office. And it always is a visit, like seeing an old friend, not a chore or yet another appointment. I have had a root canal, a tooth re-build, and invisalign - and we will be whitening and capping soon. I grew up and went to school in Millbrae. Shortly after my military service was finished in 1969 I hit the road and traveled to Europe and North Africa. I ended up in India where I lived for almost 20 years. Within a few years my mouth had become a sort of dental museum. Once I even had a filling done with a pedal powered drill in India. During the mid 80's,when my mouth really began to fall apart, I started to return to periodically, (every 3 to 4 years), to Millbrae to visit family and tend to my dental rehab. Dr Johns systematically and thoroughly took care of my needs and made every effort to accommodate me during my brief visits. In 1996 I took up residence again in California, now in Petaluma. I must say that whether I'm coming from the North Bay or half way around the world I am consistently treated well. At 61 years of age I finally make visits to Dr Johns solely for a periodic cleaning and a chat

I had always wanted to get some veneers to fix my smile, but was gunshy about getting it done. Living in Los Angeles, I see really bad veneer jobs all the time, and I didn't want to end up with a set of chicklets in my mouth. I couldn't be happier that I finally sucked it up and went to Dr. Johns. First of all, he made time for me with my school and now work schedule to come up to the Bay Area from Los Angeles whenever it was most convenient for me. He even met me at 9 on a Sunday morning for my first visit. The whole time that the work was being done, there was so much care taken to make sure that I was comfortable, and that I wasn't feeling any pain. Also, because I live in Los Angeles, and he knew that I just wanted them to be done, Dr Johns had my case hurried up, and I actually got the final ones on two weeks before I had expected.

Going to Dr Johns was the best choice for me and my veneers. He was unbelievable accomodating, and they turned out perfectly. They look so natural! He even made sure that there were little imperfections in the veneers so that they look more like real teeth. You really can't tell the difference. My case is listed as John's smile on the example list. As you can see, he did a really amazing job.

I was walking downtown Millbrae w/a toothache and stopped at one dentist first (because i am very picky with who is working on my teeth) to see if i could meet them before coming in for a visit, and were rude.... so i kept walking, and came across Dr. Johns office, and the lady in the front office was so nice, had me go back and meet Dr. Johns, and he took a look at my tooth right away, after a great conversation. Anyhow, I'm taking my kids now, and they love him too. In addition to the Dr. being awesome, the ladies who work there are the BEST, and we always have such a great time when I'm there! Feels like we are family! :) Such a great find! I've already recommended him to a co-worker of mine, and she is very pleased also!

When I was first referred to Dr. Johns I was extremely fearful of all dentists due to a childhood dentist that did not use novacaine. Dr. Johns and his staff took my fear into consideration, and worked with me to relax me, causing me absolutely no anxiety whatsover. Since then I regularly get my teeth cleaned, etc. He has redone my mouth by removing all the silver fillings out and I have a complete white mouth now with great porcelain fillings. I am now a visaline patient of his and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Due to my busy work schedule, it is difficult for me to make appointments. At all times, the office has rescheduled for me, and accomodated my schedule. My three adult children go to Dr. Johns and I have recommended everyone I know to him. My mouth, gums, teeth are all so much healthier now. And the best part is, he is not that expensive. And he is reasonable with insurance plans, etc. AND, his technology is state of the art. Dr. Johns did my sons dental veneers due to his small size teeth, and he looks like a movie star now! He worked with him during his school schedule, (he is a student in LA) and worked special days and hours to accomodate his schedule. Dr. Johns is a SUPER HERO in my eyes.
