Case Description
Dr, Scott Podlesh in Santa Clara placed an implant. The bone around the implant has grown think, gums are bleeing, pain is killing me. The Neurologist at Valley Medical Center said the implant is failing and the trigeminal nerver is damaged. No Oral Surgeon is willing to take the risk and remove the implant. Dr. Scott Podlesh told 3 Oral Surgeons there is nothing wrong with the implant he placed, and they refused to take it out. I went to other Oral Surgeons which Dr. Podlesh did not speak with. They said the implant is to long and big and the nerve underneath the implant is damaged. Someone please help me. I blacked out and got into a car accident that's how bad the pain is. I can not chew on the im plant.

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

I place implants and would be glad to have taken a look at you but I am not going to be available for three weeks.I would recommend that you phone Dr. Kasey Li in Palo Alto for a consultation. If you have any problems, please feel free to contact me.

Hello there,I can see why some oral surgeons would find this a difficult case. There are a lot of legal ramifications to removing your implant. Ideally, it should be the doctor who placed the implant that should remove it. Iff I may suggest another option: Have you thought of seeking help from the local dental schools? UCSF and UOP both have oral surgery departments. They are usually staffed with experienced and well known surgeons. They have the capability to do complex cases such as yours. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
