Case Description
I don't have proper Dental insurance (may get part of it reimbursed from my company) and I am looking for a good and reasonable dentist. I have a broken tooth # 18 which has silver filing. It may need root canal and crown since I have minor pain for last few days.

Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Cost Estimate: $1520
Hello- First we would have to refer you to a Endodontist (Root Canal Specialist) for the Root Canal. I can not give you an estimate for that office. But after you have the root canal we can see you for the Crown! We would need to see you for an exam and x-ray of the tooth.($75.00+$40.00= $110). Then we would have you come back for the post and crown. ($310+$1100=$1410) Your estimated patient portion would be $1520. If you would like to give me a call tomorrow, Saturday the 11th between 9am and 11am, I could answer any additional questions you may have or we will be back in the office on Monday Aug. 13th from 9am-6pm. Please feel free to call #408-377-8200. I look forward to hearing from you. Take Care

Cost Estimate: $about 1800
A root canal and crown for a molar tooth at our office is about $1800. Of course we''''d have to see if your tooth actually needs treatment to that extent first. We do most root canals here at our office, although occasionally we will refer to specialists (endodontists) from time to time. Please give our office a call if we can be of any help.

Without having seen your tooth or an x-ray, I can give you an estimate of $2863.00. This would include limited exam, x-rays, root canal #18, build-up #18 and CEREC crown #18. The advantage of CEREC technology is that you will get your crown made in the office on the same visit. IF the RCT is straight forward with no complications, you can get all your treatment completed on tooth #18 in about 2.5 hours and in one visit. No return trip... no temporaries... no waiting for your crown to return from the lab.Call and ask to see Dr. Anthony: 650-593-9888. I really look forward to meeting you and taking care of your dental needs. Thanks for reading my comments.
